Hello again from Sydney Rock Friends lml

Once upon a time there was a big man, with a big voice (some say it resembled a tuneful chainsaw), who found himself a Dru
mmer with the world's most irregular beard, a Guitarist, whom it was said was of blue-blood, a Bass Player with bottom-end of such cosmic power that it affected the tides, and another Guitarist he rescued from a dungeon full of Bats, whom it was said, tortured our protagonist by singing James Blunt songs night after night....
...they formed a band, toured Europe and recorded an album (ok I got tired of that story & skipped to the end).
We finished day 10 of recording last Sunday and took ourselves a well-earned break. With ears-a-hurtin and bloodshot eyes, I personally did what any self-respecting musician does on a two-day break from recording: went to the Pub, with one of my best friends & earned myself a tasty hangover..OUCH!

There are two more killer tracks (apparently we just don't do mediocre!) pretty much finished and of course, I'm not at liberty to divulge the titles.....well I could but I'd have to kill you, and then who'd come to our gigs?

So here's some trivia about how we the various band members habits in the studio:
Lex - no singing in the morning ..it's just like that.
Luke - no PLAYING in the morning... 10am is no time for Rock OR Roll
The Prince (that's Eddy) - just stick the instrument in his hands and press record. Anytime.
Matt - Just tell him which bass to use & the magic happens
Chris - just get out of the room ok! Or risk being impaled by any one of several flying (and broken) drum sticks.

We'll be back in the studio on Wednesday and you'll hear from me again soon after.

Sante!
Luke.

Sign of the Devil to all lml
At the end of Day 7 (Thurs 12th October) of recording, all is going pretty damn well if we may say so ourselves.
Chris and Mat laid down the kind of tasty drum & bass tracks any guitarist/singer dreams of shouting over; a whole albums worth in 5 days! So drain those glasses people ;-D.
The sounds are as fat as a fat lady who's just eaten another fat lady, thanks to our Engineer of choice, Dan "lock up your aunties, and maybe your pets too" Leffler, assistant Chris and Studios 301.

So after two days at Pulse Studios we've totaly finished a sleazy, groovy rocker "H...... D...."(*) (guitars, vox, burps & other man-noises included) and are mostly done with another classic (did I say classic? You bet your Whisky Collection I did) "H..... A...."(*). With Engineer Anthony twiddling the knobs and generally tolerating our questionable antics, and a special guest appearance by Dan "I always order the Duck OK" Leffler, the guitars and vox are sounding MASSIVE!
(*): censorship by Devil Management ;))

So back to work tomorrow on what we'd like to think of as the Album to shame all others in 2007. Any guesses on the album title?.....
...we can't tell you. But we CAN tell you some titles that we ALMOST chose:
"Lex Koritni Sings Songs About Drinking"
"Poledancing is a Sport"
and "More Songs About Drinking".... this would've been followed by the acoustic EP :
"Songs to Throw Up to The Day After Drinking"
That's all for now people; we'll keep you posted.

For Sydney locals we'll see you at The Spectrum on the 6th of December and to our European friends we'll see you at the bar in March.

Sante!
Luke.
